Halifax baseball wins on road

Halifax Academy Varsity baseball team traveled to Cary Christian Tuesday afternoon.

 

The Vikings beat Cary Christian 8-1.

Luke Blackman had a stellar performance for the Vikings on the mound. He pitched entire game and walked 3, struck out 11 batters, allowed 2 hits and 1 run. He struck out 5 batters in a row and pitched the 1st 3 innings with 3 up/3 down and ended the game by striking out the last batter.

Ryan Mizelle led the Vikings batters with 3 singles and 4 RBI's followed by doubles and 2 RBI's each for Collin Smith and senior Andrew Bryant.

The Vikings host Parrott Academy Wednesday at 6:30.

 

This is senior night for the Vikings and will be honoring their only senior, Andrew Bryant before the game.
