Storm takes roof off Hollister house

A roof was taken off a house in Hollister this evening, due to a suspected tornado, Halifax County Sheriff Wes Tripp said.

The damage occurred on Ita Road. There were no injuries, and no other property damage reported.

A tornado watch remains in effect until 9 p.m. The area also is under a flash flood warning.
