The Littleton Volunteer Fire Department is assisting the Halifax County Sheriff's Office in a partnership allowing the law enforcement agency to use its substation at 676 Oak Grove Church Road.

“This will allow deputies to use the building for writing reports and conducting other sheriff's office business,” Sheriff Wes Tripp said in a statement. “It also will serve to improve interactions with the public in that community.”

The public may also set up appointments to discuss matters with the sheriff at one of three substations in the county, without them having to drive to Halifax.

The other substations are located at Tomahawk Meadows Apartments in Hollister and Dogwood Park Apartments in Weldon.

To set up an appointment call Tripp at 252-578-6761.
