Halifax opened the season with a win over North Raleigh Christian 15-2 Friday. Senior pitcher Hannah Clary earned the win.

Halifax bats were hot at the plate, leading hitters were Hayley Wood had 2 triples and a single, Jamie Harris with 2 singles and 2 doubles, Hannah Clary had a double and a single, Drew Rose and Emily Conner each had 2 singles while Candice Smith, Ryanne Hilliard and Meredith Harris each had a single.

In game two of the day Friday Halifax met a tough travel ball team Weslyn Christian and lost 17-0 handing Clary her first lost of the season in the same day.

At the plate Candice Smith, Drew Rose and Hannah Clary with a single each were the only hits allowed.

Halifax Academy's next game will be Saturday at 2 PM in the tournament.
