Robert Smoot, Owner of Brencore Entertainment and a successful event promoter in the Washington, D.C., and Fredericksburg, Virginia, areas packed the Roanoke Rapids Theatre Saturday February 11th at his "A Tribute to the Music of Motown" concert.

The concert brought to life the songs of the early years of Motown — The Temptations, The Four Tops, Diana Ross and the Supremes, Smokey Robinson, Junior Walker and the Allstars, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, and Gladys Knight and the Pips.

This was Brencore Entertainment’s second event at the theater and the third in Halifax County after bringing a show to The Centre on the campus of Halifax Community College last year. His next show in the Valley was announced Saturday night "A Night Of Blues" Saturday June 17.2017.
