There were two break-ins, one on December 5 and one December 8, according to Investigator Chris Babb.
The crimes were committed between the late night and early morning hours.
In a statement, Chief Chuck Hasty said entry was gained by breaking through the front door, which caused damage to the door as well as the frame.
Merchandise, cash, and rolled change from the register was taken.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the police department at 252-533-2810, Babb at 252-533-2823, or Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.
