This morning they returned and lodged similar charges against the couple and also arrested two people Halifax County Sheriff Wes Tripp described as their associates.
In answering follow-up questions on the latest arrests of the couple, Tripp praised the task force for its relentless work. “We have seven individuals that have formed this task force and they do damn good work,” he said.
Without elaborating, the sheriff said, “With some of these individuals being arrested two weeks ago, it does not speak favorably of our court system. I have always said we will never win the war on drugs and I’ve never promised to rid Halifax County of the problem.
“As long we continue to win the battles we’re winning today and increase those victories, the City County Drug Task Force will continue to be productive.”
Tripp said after Stansbury and Gilchrist made bond following their January 20 arrests, “they went right back at it.”
The sheriff said he plans on contacting federal authorities for possible adoption of the case. “There’s a historical pattern with this group.”
In a statement on the matter, the sheriff said agents returned to the residence around 5 this morning due to continued complaints and continued investigation by Agent D.R. Radford.
The agents and and the sheriff’s office Hazardous Entry and Arrest Team executed three search warrants.
Task force Captain A.M. Harris said there was a search of the main house and two other areas nearby.
In the statement Tripp said the following was seized:
Approximately 50 grams of cocaine
117 grams of marijuana
2.8 grams of MDMA
Two bags of marijuana seeds
Two dosage units of Oxycodone
66 dosage units of Hydrocodone
Currency
A money counter
Items of drug paraphernalia

Stansbury, 44, was charged with trafficking in cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, possession with the intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession with the intent to sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of marijuana, possession with the intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance and possession of a firearm by felon

Gilchrist, 44, was charged with trafficking in cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, possession with the intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession with the intent to sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of marijuana, possession with the intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance.

Malik Faulcon, 18, was charged with felony possession of schedule I controlled substance and simple possession of schedule II controlled substance.

James Dennis Jackson, 49, was charged with felony possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Stansbury and Gilchrist received $75,000 bonds and Faulcon and Jackson received $5,000 bonds.
They have February 15 court dates.
Sheriff’s office Corporals P. Moyer and his dog, Bosco, and D. Newsome and his dog, Duri, assisted.
In the January 20 raid agents located approximately 36 grams of cocaine, three dosage units of Oxycodone, 11 dosage units of Vyvanse, items of drug paraphernalia, currency, and 12 guns.
