The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office continues to look for a man who ran from deputies following a traffic stop and reportedly dropped a bag containing cocaine and marijuana.

The man still being sought, Andre Ramsey, tends to the frequent the Arrowhead Mobile Home Park area of Woodland, Lieutenant M.D. DeLoatch Sr. said this evening.
The bag contained an estimated 4 grams of drugs, DeLoatch said.
While investigators continue to look for Ramsey, the driver of the vehicle stopped by Deputy Timothy Worrell was arrested and charged.

Tyrell Williams, 25, of Pendleton, faces charges of possession of cocaine, possession with the intent to sell cocaine, maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
The matter occurred in the early morning hours of July 8 when Worrell conducted a traffic stop for a violation on Highway 35 in the Woodland area, DeLoatch said in a statement.
The deputy could reportedly smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
Ramsey fled from the vehicle with a black bag but dropped it as Deputy Kevin Byrum gave chase.
Williams was detained and eventually charged.
Warrants have been issued for Ramsey’s arrest on the same counts as Williams, who had a first appearance in court earlier this week.
In the statement, Sheriff Jack Smith commended Worrell and Byrum “for their efforts in removing the above mentioned drugs from the community.”
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Ramsey is encouraged to call the sheriff’s office at 252-534-2611 or Crimestoppers Line at 252-534-1110.
