The men, D'angelo Devonte Rawls, 17, and Kenyell Lamar Rawls, 29, who are cousins, allegedly broke into a residence at Third and Franklin streets to use as the house where the pizza was to be delivered, Lieutenant Charles Vaught said.

The delivery driver was assaulted and robbed around 12:30 a.m., Chief Chuck Hasty said in a statement.

Vaught developed D’angelo Rawls of Rocky Mount and Kenyell Rawls of Roanoke Rapids as the alleged suspects in the case and obtained warrants for robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a deadly weapon with serious injury, possession of stolen property and breaking and entering.

D’angelo Rawls was arrested in Rocky Mount Wednesday by the city's police department and Kenyell Rawls was arrested Thursday on a traffic stop by Garysburg Police Chief Melvin Garner.

Both received $20,000 bonds and May 18 court dates.

Hasty said investigation is ongoing with more charges possible.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call Vaught at 252-533-2810 or Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.
