The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting which occurred around 9 p.m. Saturday and left a 38-year-old victim in critical condition.
Detective Willie Murphy Jr. said in a statement released early this morning investigation began when deputies were dispatched to Richardson's Pool Hall in the Ringwood area and found the victim with a gunshot wound to the torso.
The victim was transported to an undisclosed medical facility for treatment.
Murphy could not be immediately reached for further comment this morning.
