Pair charged by county face Enfield counts

A man already in custody on charges filed by the Halifax County Sheriff's Office also faces charges lodged by the Enfield Police Department.

Captain Tyree Davis said on December 11 Detective D. Bozard responded to an alarm call in the 300 block of Burnette Avenue, where an attempted break-in occurred.

With help from the community during the investigation, Bozard charged Jerome Barnes Jr., 25, and Travell Scott, 21, both of Enfield with attempted breaking and entering and injury to real property.

Bozard previously arrested Barnes on December 27 for an unrelated breaking and entering.

Scott remains a large.
