Detective D.C. Dickens of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office obtained warrants for Charles Emanuel Brown, 27, for misdemeanor larceny and possession of stolen property taken from a stolen truck.

Dickens said the personal items, which included jewelry and an ID, are being returned to the victim.

The additional charges against Brown stem from a followup by Dickens on recovered property from the stolen truck, which was recovered Monday.

The Ford F-150 and a utility trailer was stolen from the Highway 903 area of Roanoke Rapids in early December.

Leads were developed after a report was filed by Sergeant D. Coley.

Dickens located the stolen trailer in the Hollister area and the truck was located in the Roanoke Rapids area by Detective Obert Wiltsie.
