RRPD blotter: December 4-December 6, 2015

The Roanoke Rapids Police Department reported the following, according to Chief Chuck Hasty:

Friday December 4, 2015

At approximately 12:30 p.m., Lieutenant Perry Parks and Officer Greg Colson responded to a call about persons with outstanding warrants in the 1200 block of East Ninth Street.

Officers located Kira Nicole Clements Edmondson, 40, and Wade Fox, 51, both of Roanoke Rapids, at the residence.

Officers arrested both.

Edmondson received a $10,000 bond and a January 11 court date in Wake County.

Fox received a $500 bond and a January 19 court date in Halifax County.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., Sergeant Daniel Jenkins responded to a larceny call at Walmart.

Loss prevention reported Deshawn Wishop Lettman, 19, of Garysburg, allegedly took items without paying.

Jenkins cited Lettman for larceny and possession of stolen goods. He was released until his January 11 court date.

At approximately 4:45 p.m., Parks responded to a fight call at Bobby's Supermarket.

The parties left before his arrival, but he located Candace Brooks, 44, of Roanoke Rapids, who had an outstanding order for arrest.

Brooks was arrested and received a $500 bond. Her court date was today and another date has not been set.

Officer Scott Blythe assisted.

Saturday December 5, 2015

At approximately 11:20 a.m., Officer Jamie Hardy arrested Terrell Silver, 22, of Enfield, for outstanding warrants for breaking and entering a motor vehicle, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods and injury to property after receiving information on his location.

These charges stem from an investigation by Halifax County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Paul Ward.

Silver received a $10,000 bond and December 30 court date.

At approximately 3 p.m., Hardy responded to an assault call at Walmart.

Hardy arrested and charged Sherika Danielle Norwood, 25, of Garysburg, with assault and disorderly conduct.

She received a $1,000 bond and January 29 court date.

Officer Jeffrey Mason assisted.

At approximately 10 p.m., Master Officer Gerald Morris was working an off duty assignment at Kirkwood Adams Civic Center when two people assaulted each other.

Morris arrested and charged Zhuo Li Tang, 26, of Roanoke Rapids, and Yariel Omar Barbose-Cabrera, 33, of Rocky Mount, with simple affray.

Both received $500 bonds and January 15 court dates.

Lieutenant Charles Burnette assisted.

Sunday December 6, 2015

At approximately 11:45 a.m., Master Officer Roy Ball received information about possible drug activity at Best Western.

Ball encountered Taeyoung Chung, 45, of Cliffside Park, New Jersey, and Thomas Wayne Martin, 25, of Halifax.

Ball arrested and charged Chung with possession of schedule II and possession of drug paraphernalia. He charged Martin with possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a vehicle.

Chung received a $5,000 bond and Martin received a $20,000 bond. Both have January 27 court dates.

Parks and Hardy assisted.

At approximately 3:45 p.m., Hardy responded to a call about a person with a gun on the McDonald’s parking lot.

Hardy located the vehicle and Isiah Kaitrell Latravis Hendricks, 23, of Roanoke Rapids, and Kenneth Coley Lee, 27, of Garysburg.

Officers located narcotics and a gun.

Hardy arrested and charged Hendricks with possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule VI, possession of schedule VI, possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a concealed weapon.

Lee was cited for possession of schedule VI and possession of an open container. He was released until his court date on January 11.

Hendricks received a $ 10,000 bond and January 27 court date.

Jenkins and Ball assisted.

At approximately 4 p.m., Parks arrested Randall Lowary Barnes Jr., 48, of Roanoke Rapids, on outstanding warrants for obtaining property by false pretense.

These charges stem from an investigation by Deputy Chief Andy Jackson.

On November 9 the victim reported Barnes received money for work and items but allegedly used the money for something else.

Barnes received a $10,000 bond and January 13 court date.

At approximately 7:45 p.m., Sergeant Terrence Tyler conducted a traffic stop for a violation on Roanoke Avenue near Highway 48.

During the stop Tyler spoke with the driver, Katoe Wardell Harris Jr., 17, and his passenger, Reuben Maurice Jefferies II, 21, both of Roanoke Rapids.

Narcotics and paraphernalia were found in their possession.

Harris was arrested and charged with no operators license, possession of schedule VI, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of schedule IV

He received a $1,000 bond.

Jefferies was arrested and charged with possession of schedule VI and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He received a $500 bond. They both have January 8 court dates.

Officers Jonathan Benthall, Jason Williams and Ariel Burgess assisted.

At approximately 7:45 p.m., Officer Matt Hunsucker responded to a larceny call at Walmart.

Loss prevention reported Jennifer Nicole Suggs, 33, of Roanoke Rapids, allegedly took items from the store without paying.

Hunsucker arrested and charged Suggs for larceny and possession of stolen goods.

Suggs received a $1,500 bond and a December 11 court date.

Lieutenant Bruce Norton assisted.
