The Roanoke Rapids Lady Yellow Jackets earned three more wins for the week and improving with q 14-1 overall tecored and in forst place in the Big East 2A/3A conference with a 11-1 record. Southern Nash is sitting second with a 10-1 record.

Yellow Jackets's two pitchers didn't allow a single hit, as Roanoke Rapids defeated Rocky Mount 29-0 on Tuesday.

Madison Jones struck out RM player to get the last out of the game.

Roanoke Rapids fired up the offense in the first inning. Logan Storey was the winning pitcher for the Yellow Jackets. The bulldog surrendered zero runs on zero hits over two innings, striking out four and walking zero. Jones threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Roanoke Rapids tallied 24 hits. Lauren Garner, Kaysie Summerlin, Meghan Beam, Jones, Kalissa Williams, Meredith Wilson, Storey, and Sue Odom all had multiple hits for the Yellow Jackets. Beam, Summerlin, and Garner each managed three hits to lead Roanoke Rapids. Roanoke Rapids tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Karlee Hammack led the way with two.

Roanoke Rapids didn't commit a single error in the field. Beam had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.

 

Kalissa Williams showed timely hitting on Wednesday, driving in five on three hits to lead Roanoke Rapids past Northern Nash 15-2 on Wednesday.

Williams drove in runs on a double in the first, a home run in the third, and a double in the fourth.

Roanoke Rapids secured the victory thanks to eight runs in the second inning. Yellow Jackets batters contributing to the big inning included Lauren Garner, Karlee Hammack, Logan Storey, Alana Mitchell, and Kaysie Summerlin, who all drove in runs.

Roanoke Rapids got things started in the first inning when Williams doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. Roanoke Rapids put up eight runs in the second inning. Garner, Hammack, Storey, Mitchell, and Summerlin all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Williams was credited with the victory for Roanoke Rapids. The pitcher went five innings, allowing two runs on four hits, striking out eight and walking zero.

Roanoke Rapids tallied one home run on the day. Williams had a homer in the third inning. The Yellow Jackets racked up 15 hits in the game. Williams, Garner, and Madison Jones each collected multiple hits for Roanoke Rapids. Garner and Williams each collected three hits to lead Roanoke Rapids.

Roanoke Rapids didn't commit a single error in the field. Alexia Coley had eight chances in the field, the most on the team.

 

Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets sailed to an easy victory over Louisburg 20-1 on Thursday.

Roanoke Rapids got things started in the first inning when Logan Storey singled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs. Roanoke Rapids scored seven runs in the third inning. Kalissa Williams, Sue Odom, Alana Mitchell, Alexia Coley, and Meghan Beam all drove in runs in the frame.

Williams was the winning pitcher for Roanoke Rapids. The bulldog lasted five innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out ten and walking one. Roanoke Rapids tallied 16 hits on the day. Mitchell, Odom, Williams, Lauren Garner, Kaysie Summerlin, and Storey all managed multiple hits for the Lady Yellow Jackets. Odom and Mitchell all had three hits to lead Roanoke Rapids.

 

The Lady Yellow Jackets return to play after the Spring Break on the road Tyesday April 26th at Bunn and closed the regular season out at home on SENIOR Night Thursday April 28th hosting Nash Central.
