Halifax County native Jeff Buckner an employee of the Harrisburg NC based JTG Daugherty Racing is entering his 30th year in NASCAR Racing kicked off the 2020  NASCAR season as employee of the Daytona 500 pole position winner.

Buckner has worked just about every team position in his thirty year NASCAR career and announced to us at RRspin Sports that he will retire at the end of the 2020 season. Buckner has worked for such teams as Sadler Racing, Dale Earnhart Inc, Richard Childress Inc.and Kevin Harvick Inc. to name a few.

Sunday afternoon appeared to be a proud moment for the JTG Daugherty employee as the No. 47 Kroger Chevrolet Camaro ZL driven by driver Ricky Stenhouse earned the pole position for the 2020 Daytona 500 set to run Sunday February 16th on FOX.

Buckner stated, " I am coming back to the Lake Gaston to spend more time with family and especially my granddaughter."
