Well anyone that was in attendance at Tuesday night's Weldon High hosting Northwest Halifax game and was expecting to see an ordinary ball game, then they left disappointed.

Tuesday's games were EPIC! Weldon JV team won by a score of 66-48. Both teams handled the ball with ease and the defense of the Chargers did a good job of holding down the junior Vikings.

The Lady Chargers performance Tuesday was unbelievable. The tipoff to the final buzzer was something out of the ordinary. Weldon had a halftime lead of 29-0. The entire team saw playing time and the ladies that usually come in off the bench were executing plays that made the crowd stand up. The girls final score was to 53-6.

And then there was the most awaited game in town, the showdown between the Blue and Gold. Both teams kept the score tight and they both used some strong defensive strategies throughout the evening. When the final buzzer sounded the Vikings of Northwest Halifax had won by a score of 55-51.

The two teams will meet again on Thursday at Northwest for part 3 for the Battle of the Blue and Gold.
