Doris Jordan Hall, 88, passed away on Saturday March 23, 2024 at Prodigy Transitional Rehab in Tarboro NC. 

She was born on June 6, 1935 to Sharper Lee Jordan and Maude Allen Jordan in Northampton County NC. 

Doris was the youngest of six children. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard G. Hall, parents, siblings, Leroy Jordan, Andrew Jordan, Reginald Jordan, Annie Virginia Hunt and Ralph Jordan, and son in law, Furby Ray Daniel. 

Doris is survived by her two children, Cathy Hall Daniel of Whitakers NC and Alvin Eugene Hall (Tammy) of Charleston SC, five grandchildren, Diane Branch Nethery (Kevin Livesay) of Gaston NC, Jeffery Branch (Candace) of Roanoke Rapids NC, Craig Branch (Trisha) of Roanoke Rapids NC, Karen Hall Pope (Richard) of Pensacola Florida, and Andrew Robert Hall (Brittney) of Mendocino California, ten great-grandchildren, Tyler Jarman (Brooke), Caleb Jarman, Haley Branch, Breanna Branch, Braxton Manning, Bryce Manning, Jacob Pope, Isabella Pope, Eva Hall and Eden Hall, one great great-grandchild, Bryce and one on the way. 

She married the love of her life Leonard G. Hall on May 28, 1955, together they have two children. 

She met Leonard while working at McCrory's Dime Store. Leonard said he found a million dollar baby at the five and dime. Doris and Leonard were always together and Leonard's job took them to many places like, Virginia, Wisconsin, West Virginia, New York, Alabama and back to North Carolina. 

Doris and Leonard enjoyed evening rides watching to see how many deer they could count. After Leonard passed away Doris lived at the Bayberry in Roanoke Rapids NC, The Fountains at the Albemarle in Tarboro NC and then she lived at Prodigy Transitional Rehab in Tarboro NC. 

Doris was a loyal church goer and loved the Lord. 

She attended Shiloh Methodist Church in Gaston and Church of God in Erwin and Roanoke Rapids. Doris loved to go on Senior Trips with her sister Annie Virginia and her friends, she has been to Niagara Falls, The World Fair and Nashville TN. She enjoyed being with family and having get-togethers with her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

A visitation will be held at Wrenn Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 starting at 12:00pm, a funeral service will start at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Wrenn Funeral Home following the visitation with Pastor Timothy Dean and Eston Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery.
