Frances Ferguson Carroll, 82, of Gaston, NC, went to her eternal heavenly home on Sunday, March 8, 2026.
Born August 13, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Jasper Monroe and Mary Gray Ferguson.
Frances worked in many areas of employment throughout her life but was most happy in her service to others. She organized bike-a-thons to raise money for St. Jude's Children's Hospital, she delivered Meals on Wheels, drove the ambulance for the Gaston Volunteer Rescue Squad, was very active in her church, and served on the Northampton County Board of Education.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, George W. Carroll; both parents; her sisters, Minnie Lynch and Eva Butler; and brother, Charles Ferguson.

She is survived by her three children, Jasper Carroll (Pam) of Pleasant Hill, NC; Gloria Liles (Mickey) of Nashville, NC; and Georgia Carroll of Gaston. She leaves behind three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was immensely proud of her family and filled with joy by their presence.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, March 12, in the chapel of Wrenn Funeral Home with Rev. Norma Roberts and Brayden Convoy officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until service time. Interment will be private.
The family wishes to thank everyone for the love and prayers over the last few months; and a special thank you to Ashley Ferguson who was a wonderful caregiver and friend to Frances.
In lieu of flowers, Frances wanted donations sent to any of the following organizations: St. Jude's Children's Hospital; The Gideons International; Wounded Warrior Project; or Kairos of NC.
Arrangements are under the careful direction of Wrenn Funeral Home and online condolences may be shared with the family at www.wrennfh.com
