Laura Mae Richardson, 76, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 after her battle with pancreatic cancer with her family by her side. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Winfield Richardson, parents, Raymond Parker Conwell and Clara Newsome Conwell, brothers, Ray Walker and Luther Conwell. 

Laura is survived by her daughters, Tammy C. Avery (John) and Marcie Ann Carpenter, sons, Dewey E. Carpenter Jr. (Sandy), Westley P. Carpenter (Maranda), Chad E. Carpenter, step sons, David Richardson and Daniel Richardson, god son, Logan Joyner, sisters, Pricilla Barnes, Irene Cook, 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. 

Laura enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of The AMVETS Post 320 and the Eagles Club Ladies Auxiliary. 

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Wrenn Funeral Home starting at 2:00pm. A funeral service will immediately follow starting at 3:00pm. Interment to follow at the Conwell Family Cemetery with Rev. Wilson Conwell officiating.
