Shelby Jean Lee Clements was born in Northampton County, on Cal-Floyd Road at the North Carolina-Virginia state line into a family of farmers.

Shelby was known as Nanny, as she has raised many more along the way as her own. She worked and retired from W.R. Grace and Comp. known as Airmold Division for over 20 years and a Daily Herald carrier for 15 years. She was a lifetime member at The Church of Jesus Christ Pentecostal Holiness on Emry Street and a lifetime servant of our Lord Jesus. Shelby was a selfless person who was always paying it forward. She always said “The Lord will make a way!” and by faith he always did. Shelby never lost her FAITH.
Shelby departed from this earth, at home just as she wanted, early morning on February 27, 2025 to go be with our Father in Heaven. She definitely gained her angel wings. The family wants to give a special thank you to our sister in Christ, Madie Higgins, for always sending not one, but two and three cards a week for us to read her, and showing Jesus love was the light of her day, also want to give a thank you to Gentiva Hospice, Baylee, Wendy and Mary Jo for your compassion and love you showed my mother.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Wrenn Funeral Home starting at 1:00pm. A funeral service will immediately follow starting at 2:00pm with Pastor Matthew Reider officiating. Interment to follow to Cedarwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be made to the funeral expenses.
