Valley Community Church will again hold Giving Hope on Saturday, December 14.

The time is set for 9 a.m. to noon at the church located at 1215 Julian R. Allsbrook Highway in Weldon.

“Giving Hope is Valley’s way of bringing the joy of Christmas and its spirit of generosity to our local community,” the church said. “We will be providing toys and Christmas gifts for free for those in need to take home and offer as gifts to their children on Christmas morning. We want everyone in our community to have a chance to experience the joy and generosity of Christmas.”

The church said, however, “Giving Hope is about giving children more than just a gift under the tree. By sharing the love of Jesus with them, we are giving them the lifelong gift of hope.”

The event will be similar to a Christmas shopping mall experience where selected families in need can come to receive Christmas gifts and “experience the hope of Jesus. Parents will get to shop for their children personally and have the gifts wrapped by our team.” 

The children “will have their own special experience where they will enjoy music and snacks and hear the Christmas story. Families will also have the opportunity to pray with our ministry team.”
