Mark Jones, a 2012 Roanoke Rapids High School graduate, completed his residency at McLeod Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina.
He won the South Carolina Osteopathic Medical Society Resident of the Year award, an honor bestowed to only one person each year.
Jones will continue to work at the McLeod Regional Medical Center.
He is board certified in Family Medicine and finished his medical education as chief resident.
He is a 2016 graduate of Campbell University and a 2020 medical school graduate of VCOM-Carolinas in Spartanburg.
Jones is the son of Marty and Joy Jones and Michelle Garriss and her late husband Mark. His siblings are Carter and Logan Abram, Alexis Jones and Maecy Garriss.
He is married to Atalee Jones, a physician assistant in Florence and a 2012 RRHS graduate. Atalee is a 2016 Campbell graduate and earned her PA degree in 2019 from North Greenville University.
