On Monday Deputy D. Bybee stopped a Toyota Camry for speeding around the 1800 block of Thelma Road in Roanoke Rapids.

Sledge was found to be in possession of marijuana and also had a pistol in the glove box of the vehicle he was driving.

Sledge is a felon convicted for possession of cocaine from 2009 and 2013.

Warehouse B&E

During the evening hours of December 14 a break-in occurred at a warehouse located at 1240 South Dennis Street just outside of Enfield.

It was reported that a door to the warehouse had been pried open and several power tools valued at over $1,000 were taken.

Detective Sergeant A. Wood and Deputy D. Harrison recently located some of the stolen items from a business in Wake County.

Jason Chatham Brickhouse, 46, of Wayne County was identified as the person that had committed the break-in.

Brickhouse has an extensive criminal history dating back to 2002.

His history includes convictions for breaking and entering, felony larceny, forgery, and other felony and misdemeanor convictions related to theft and fraud from Harnett, Sampson, Wake, and Johnston counties.

It is unknown if Brickhouse is a suspect in a breaking and entering from the town of Enfield that occurred on December 14 where toys were stolen from a warehouse there.

The investigative information related to the Brickhouse case has been passed along to the Enfield Police Department.

At this time Brickhouse has not been arrested but is wanted for the following: Felony breaking and entering, felony larceny, felony possession of stolen goods, and injury to real property.

He is actively being sought by Community Corrections as an absconder from Wayne County for a 2018 conviction of breaking and entering from Harnett County.

He was last known to live on Walnut Street in Goldsboro but he has associations with Harnett, Johnston, Sampson, and Wake counties.

Anyone with information on the location of Brickhouse is encouraged to contact Wood or Harrison at 252-583-8201.
