To positively impact food insecurity challenges within its community, the Center for Energy Education will partner with the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina to host a food distribution event Tuesday.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or until supplies last, C4EE welcomes families, children, and seniors in the Roanoke Valley to receive a bag of non-perishable food and produce in its parking lot at 460 Airport Road in Roanoke Rapids. The event is free and open to the public.

The distribution center will be drive-thru only. Those seeking a bag must be in a car to receive one.

“C4EE’s collaboration with the food bank meets a critical need to help our community thrive,” said Mozine Lowe, executive director of C4EE. “Together we can help provide access to consistent nourishment.”
