An October 31, 2020 fatal hit and run remains unsolved and under investigation.

There has been no new information on the hit and run crash which claimed the life of 26-year-old Hollister resident Danny Lee Edwards Jr., said Sergeant A.S. Genoa of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred on Fishing Creek and Ita roads around 10 p.m.

Evans was walking on Fishing Creek Road heading to where it turns into Ita Road when he was struck and died at the scene.

The patrol said last year there were a few witnesses but none of them had concrete leads.

The patrol has done some DNA testing on one suspect vehicle but there was no match. The car on which the testing was performed was a white Chevrolet Impala.

In the aftermath of the collision the vehicle should have had damage to its front right side.
