A New Jersey man died in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 Thursday afternoon.
The crash occurred near the same spot where earlier in the day a dump truck driver crashed and was airlifted to a medical center.
According to a preliminary report by Trooper Z.E. Perry of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Frank Stanch, 74, was driving a tractor-trailer northbound on the interstate near exit 160 in the Darlington area shortly after 3:30 p.m.
He ran off the road to the right, came back on the road and the vehicle overturned.
Stanch died from the injuries sustained in the crash.
Contributing factors in the crash remain under investigation.
