The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office reported the following, according to Captain A.M. Harris:

Monday, shortly after 7 p.m.,  Agent C.A. Parker conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a motor vehicle violation near Highway 125 in the Roanoke Rapids area.

Assistance was requested from Agent D.K. Newsome with his canine Duri. During the search cocaine was located.

Parker arrested and charged Adam Glen Studer, 56, of Jackson Street, with felony possession of cocaine and maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance.

Studer received a $2,000 bond and July 15 court date.

Agents D.J. Epperson and R.E. Ball assisted.

Monday, shortly before 11 p.m., deputies of B Squad and drug agents executed a search warrant at a residence on Maria Avenue. 

Parker had received information about possible drug activity at this residence for several weeks and had been conducting follow-ups on the residence.

During the search of the property, agents seized marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a stolen rifle.

Parker cited Bryant Antonio Harrison, 32, of the residence with a North Carolina Uniform Citation for possession of marijuana. Harrison received a July 15 court date.

Parker will follow up on the stolen rifle.
