Mount Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Jackson will have its Fishing for Jesus ministry on August 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. that includes a free community fish fry.

The church is located at 511 Atherton Street.

The first 100 participants will receive a voucher that entitles them to go on the Ripe for Revival mobile food bank bus to pack grocery bags to take home.

The church will also be donating 100 backpacks filled with supplies to students. 

Vendors will be set up throughout the church grounds with information and resources. 

Games and activities are planned.
