An Emporia woman was identified as a person wanted in the larceny of more than $1,000 in merchandise in the shopping center where Tractor Supply, bealls, and Ollie’s are located.
Makayla Woolard is in custody in Virginia, according to Lieutenant Morgan Worrell of the Roanoke Rapids Police Department.
The larceny occurred February 26 around 2:30 p.m, and a public request for assistance had the 28-year-old woman identified within 30 minutes.
Warrants were obtained for felony larceny for the crime in the 1300 block of Julian R. Allsbrook Highway and misdemeanor larceny and possession of stolen goods for a crime that occurred at a business on Premier Boulevard the same day.
Officer J. Snider and Lieutenant D. Newsome filed the charges.
