Halifax Community College early registration for the Spring 2026 semester begins on Wednesday, November 19.

Pre-Registration advising dates are November 3 through 19 and spring classes begin Monday, January.

"We want current and new students to take advantage of the ability to participate in advising and registration support. Quality advising and registration support are critical to the success of every HCC student,” said Vice President of Academic and Student Success Levy Brown. “The Division of Academic and Student Success is doubling down on our commitment to ensuring that we remove barriers and provide clear pathways for students to progress, graduate, and earn family-sustaining wages."

HCC offers a wide range of academic programs, workforce training, and short-term credential options designed to help students start — or advance — their careers.

Academic advising and enrollment support will be available in person and virtually to assist new, returning, and visiting students with course selection, placement, and next steps.

“At Halifax Community College, we’re not just enrolling students, we’re welcoming individuals into a community of growth, support, and opportunity,” said Dean of Admissions and Enrollment Shreail Hinton. “Our mission is to make higher education accessible to all, no matter where students begin their journey. We’re focused on creating a seamless registration experience that empowers students to move forward with confidence and clarity.”

Said Hinton: “Each new semester opens the door to possibilities. This spring 2026, I encourage every student to step forward with confidence. Your future begins here at Halifax Community College.”
