Halifax Community College’s Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society spread Easter cheer to residents and staff at Northampton County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jackson.
PTK members delivered festive Easter bags filled with thoughtful items, including seasonal treats.
The celebration included a joyful and interactive program featuring a warm welcome, an opening invocation, and lively activities, such as Easter trivia, reminiscence therapy, and the Easter Hokey Pokey song.
The event concluded with a touching closing prayer led by one of the residents.
PTK co-advisor Gary Redding accompanied the students during the visit and helped lead the program, while PTK co-advisor Ellen Divens guided the students through the pre-preparation period leading up to the event.
“This was a beautiful opportunity for our students to connect with members of the community and share the spirit of the season,” said HCC President Patrena Elliott. “The joy was felt on both sides.”
