There will be frequent driving, typing, and reading as well as direct contact with clients. Description: The essential functions of this position are to perform a variety of personnel-related administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment. Specific duties include processing payroll, checking paper timesheets for accuracy, processing position vacancies, monitoring and tracking work against dates, maintaining personnel files, reporting employee leave usage, generating various personnel reports, arranging new hire drug testing and background checks, completing the new hire onboarding processes, keying data into state systems and helping to prepare for audits. This position also serves as back-up to the agency switchboard during absences of the primary switchboard operator. The person selected for this position must be able to multitask, be very organized, work well with computer software programs, be able to perform mathematical calculations and have a general knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and EEO policies. This position will work closely with employees and should be comfortable interacting and relaying information to others.

Requirements: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and demonstrated possession of knowledge, skills and abilities gained through at least two years of office assistant/personnel experience. Prefer applicants with the ability to type with speed and accuracy, have knowledge of business grammar and vocabulary, spelling, and punctuation, and be capable of independently completing work. Description: This position performs technical work dispatching law enforcement, medical, fire, rescue and other equipment and personnel in response to emergency and non-emergency situations. Other requirements include working at a communications console for extended periods of time, analyzing communications, detailed & accurate typing, and speaking distinctly. Applicants will need to possess the ability to deal courteously with the public and emergency responders under stressful conditions. Position involves working varying shifts, which will include weekend and holiday schedules.
