Halifax County government and Halifax County Cooperative Extension have set the date for the 2022 Harvest Days festival, which will be the 30th anniversary of the event.
The county announced that this year’s Harvest Days will be held at the 4-H Rural Life Center on Friday, October 21, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., specifically for 4th and 5th grade students in any of our Halifax County public, charter, private or home schools, and Saturday, October 22, opening for the public at 10 a.m.
“(The year) 2022 celebrates the 30th anniversary of Halifax County Harvest Days, and we are planning a fantastic event that will highlight the diversity of our county and its history,” said Beth Burchell, Halifax County extension director. “Stay tuned for an exciting schedule of entertainment and activities as our plans come together.”
The event will celebrate the world of agriculture, featuring farm animals, antique tractors, hay wagon rides, the agricultural museum, and educational exhibits, as well as entertainment throughout the day and local vendors selling homemade food and arts and crafts.
Food and arts and crafts vendors are now being accepted with a reasonable vendor fee.
