Admission and parking are free of charge.

Enjoy free entertainment throughout the day on Saturday in the amphitheater area near a large dining tent.

At 10 a.m. Southern Station will perform, followed by the Carolina Line Dancers at 11 a.m., culminating with our popular headliner band the Sons of Earl taking the stage from noon to 2 p.m.

As Halifax County continues to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the founding of our nation, there will be a 1776 encampment and musket firing demonstration hourly at Harvest Days this year.

Halifax County Harvest Days will continue to celebrate the wonderful world of agriculture, featuring farm animals, antique tractors, hay wagon rides, the agricultural museum, farmhouse, Allen Grove Rosenwald School (including voting for your favorite decorated pumpkin), and educational exhibits. Don’t miss the peanut threshing and old-fashioned sawmill in operation. There will be an equine trail challenge at 10 a.m. at the lower horse arena, followed by the 4-H Poultry Show at 11 a.m. in the 4-H activities area, and an Antique Tractor Parade around the property at noon.

Everyone will enjoy the remote-controlled airplanes with demonstrations at 10 a.m., noon, and 2 p.m. near the pond. The Stray Cats Hot Rod Association will have their beautiful classic vehicles on display at the front of the property near Highway 903. NC Forestry and NC Wildlife, as well as the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office, will have plenty of vehicles and equipment to explore. Medoc Mountain State Park and the Eastern Bluebird Rescue will also have booths. Roanoke Rapids Fire Department will have their Fire Safety House open for visits.

There will be many local vendors selling delicious festival food and arts and crafts.
