Book sale continues

After a successful used book sale in the library conference room on February 20, Roanoke Rapids Public Library will continue offering books on sale for at least ½ off normal prices through Saturday, March 14.  Books are located within the first aisle as you enter the main part of the library where administrative offices are. It is not too late to stock up on books at low prices to build up personal libraries. Square foot gardening

Roanoke Rapids Public Library will host a program on Square Foot Gardening in the Library conference room on Monday, March 23 at 1 pm.  This program will be a general introduction of this type of gardening and outline the advantages of this method while explaining the advantages of such a garden.  Betty Bianconi will present the various elements of a square foot garden for the beginner as well as the more experienced gardener.
