A lawsuit filed on behalf of 17 residents in the Brandy Creek community of Roanoke Rapids has been settled through a mediator for $42,000, a document shows.
Weldon City Schools and the Roanoke Rapids Graded School School District will continue to wait for an answer on whether they can spend money on design fees after Halifax County commissioners today approved a watered down motion that was called a vote of confidence on plans the two districts have for school improvement.
