The Roanoke Rapids High School Yellow Jackets Cross Country team wrapped up their 2018 season on Saturday at the Ivey Redmon Sports Complex in Kernersville, NC in the 2A Stame Championship meet.

Yellow Jackets Jacob Bouchard and Harry Crawford qualified for the NCHSAA 2A State Championship as individuals following a strong perfomance at the 2A East Regional meet the week before at Croatan High School.

On Saturday, both Jacob and Harry ran a strong race at the State Meet.  Jacob Bouchard ran a 19:00 while Harry Crawford ran a 19:50 on the challenging course.

Coach Mark Snead stated, "Jacob and Harry ran their hearts out on Saturday.  For them to put in that type of performance on the biggest stage of the season says a lot about the two of them as runners and young men.  I am beyond proud of them and both our teams this year.  It was an excellent year for our cross country program."
