Nat Justice “Pitt” West,

77, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Wake Medical Center. He was born in Halifax County to the late Nat Burnice and Sallie Perkinson West. 

He was also preceded in death by all of his siblings, Annie Lee West Hilliard, Robert West, Fred West, Willie Gray West, Thomas West. 

Mr. West was a well known dairy farmer who was a producer for Pine State for many years. He was a member of the Littleton Baptist Church and the Littleton Jaycees where he was awarded the young farmer award in 1979. 

Justice was also a founding contributor to what is now the Rural Health Group building. He loved to dance and was a member of the Warrenton Square Dance Club. Pitt was loved by everyone who knew him and fed anyone who wanted to eat. 

Rev. John Triplett will conduct a memorial at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 21st at the family homeplace. 

Mr. West is survived by his children, Robin W. Edwards and husband, Ricky, Sallie W. Smiley and husband, H.A., and Nat B. West II and wife, Lisa; foster sister Rona Lee Reed; his grandchildren, Mack Cross, Hannah Cross, Margaret Cross, Andrew Smiley, Matthew Smiley, Sara Brewer, Natalie Marley, Chris West and Ethan West; and his eleven great grandchildren. 

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be directed to the Warren County Rescue Squad, the Littleton Volunteer Fire Department or the Ministry of Hope in North Wilkesboro, NC. 

Arrangements are by Blaylock Funeral Home in Littleton.
