Law enforcement is now trying to trace the source of a bomb threat at Kipp this morning, according to the Gaston Police Department.

Officer Thomas Staton declined to comment on whether investigators thought a student might have called in a report of multiple devices at the school.

A sweep of the school showed no devices had been placed in any of the buildings.

Numerous law enforcement agencies participated in the search, including the Virginia State Police, Halifax and Northampton county sheriff's offices, Roanoke Rapids police and Petersburg police.

Law enforcement finished the investigation shortly before 2 p.m.
