Three schools on delay; RRGSD on normal schedule

The Halifax, Northampton and Weldon school systems will operate on an hour-delay Thursday due to frigid morning temperatures.

Roanoke Rapids will be on a regular schedule.

Maintenance crews in Roanoke Rapids will be getting in early to make sure busses and classrooms are warm.

Roanoke Rapids advises students to dress warmly and if possible let children stay in a warm car with parents while waiting for school busses.
