Narcotics agents with the Halifax County Sheriff's Office also confiscated 16 bags of marijuana from the residence, according to a statement from Captain Anzell Harris.
The search warrant, which was based on several citizen complaints and investigation led by Agent D.C. Dickens, was executed shortly after 12:30 p.m.
Dickens charged Derrick Lamont Shearin, 33, with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and two counts of possession of a stolen firearm.
Shearin was jailed on $25,000 secured bond and assigned a January 7 court date.
Street value of the weed is $80 and Dickens continues to investigate.
