The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people, one Friday and another today, on charges related to a larceny at an Enfield warehouse in late September.

Walter Max “Fat Cat” Barnes Jr.,19, was arrested Friday and Marcus “Man” Caudle, 22, was arrested today, according to Detective J.M. Clark. Both men are from Enfield.

Both men face charges of breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, and possession of stolen goods.

Additionally, Caudle was charged with simple possession of schedule II — Hydrocodone — and prescription label not printed after the bottle was reportedly found in his pocket at the time of his arrest.

Multiple tools and other personal items were stolen. Some of the stolen property has been recovered and the investigation continues, as there are additional parties involved.

As a result of the investigation, Clark said Detective Obert Wiltsie obtained additional warrants on Barnes for an unrelated break-in that occurred at an Enfield residence. Some of the property in that break-in has been recovered and investigation has revealed the involvement of other parties.

Barnes received a total bond of $6,000 and has November 19 and December 3 court dates.

Caudle received a $2,500 bond and has a November 26 court date.
