Halifax Varsity baseball loses at the end

Halifax Academy Viking varsity baseball team loses heart-breaker in 7th to Faith Christian 5-6.

The Vikings scored 1 run in third inning and held FC scoreless until the 6th inning.

Faith Christian scored 6 runs in bottom of 6th, but the Vikings fought back in top of the 7th scoring 4 runs.

The game was Played the majority in the rain losing.

Landen Poole had a strong bat leading the team with 2 singles. Matthew Wray, Collin Smith, and Ryan Mizelle each had a single. Luke Blackman had a triple.

Ryan Mizelle got the start on the hill for the Vikings pitching 6 innings, walking 5, struck out 4, allowed 3 hits and 4 runs. Luke Blackman closed out the game for the Vikings pitching 1 inning, walked 3, struck out 2, allowed no hits and 2 runs.

The Vikings played well against one of the top teams in their conference.

 

Halifax varsity baseball next scheduled game is Monday March 31st at 4 at home and Tuesday April 1st at 6:30 at home.
