Hogood baseball fall in 6th inning

Hobgood baseball lose 13-3 to Terra Ceia

The Hobgood Academy Varsity baseball scattered eight hits on Thursday, but weren't able to push enough runs across, and lost 13-3 to Terra Ceia on the road.

The Raiders David Dobson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked seven and struck out four.

 

The Raiders jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the second.RB Ward started the rally for Hobgood with a single. David Dobson singled, scoring Wade Johnson and David Harrell.

 

At the plate for Hobgood: Seth Roberson had 2 singles, Eric Josey, Wade Johnson, David Harrell, Christopher Braddy, David Dobson and RB Ward each had a single.

 

Terra Ceia went up for good in the sixth, scoring 10 runs on an error and six singles.

 

Hobgood falls to a 0-2 overall record.
