Greenville based girls travel fast pitch U14 Heart Breakers team played in the NC USSSA "Swing into Spring" this past weekend. Candace Smith and Abbie Carpenter both from Halifax County are members of the team.

The team won both pool play games Saturday and won first bracket game that night as well. On Sunday the team won it's first game then the rain came in. The tournament was called and with the other undefeated teams, The Heart Breakers had scored more runs and allowed less and so was declared the tournament Champions.

Candace Smith again was named tournament MVP.
