Already wanted for a common law robbery that occurred in Roanoke Rapids, Seqwaun Hawkins now has another charge pending for a shooting that occurred in the Key Street area of the Lincoln Heights community in January.

Detective Obert Wiltsie of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office said the warrant is for assault with a deadly weapon.

The matter occurred on January 5 in a burglary and shooting around 1 a.m. that is believed to have been sparked by a dispute that occurred earlier in the evening.

Hawkins is believed to be in the Lincoln Heights community.

Earlier this week, Roanoke Rapids police issued a warrant for his arrest in a December 29 robbery that occurred in the area of the 900 and 1000 blocks of Henry Street.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is encouraged to call the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office at 252-593-1019 or Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.
