Hawkins sought in December robbery

The Roanoke Rapids Police Department is looking for a man wanted for a common law robbery in December.

Investigation of the case by Detective Bobby Martin reportedly links 22-year-old Seqwuan Hawkins to the robbery, which occurred in the area of the 900 and 1000 blocks of Henry Street on December 29.

The victim in the case was physically assaulted and had to be treated for the injuries he sustained, Martin said. He was also robbed of several items.

Hawkins, who has had previous run-ins with law enforcement, is wanted for common law robbery, possession of stolen goods and assault inflicting serious bodily area.

He is believed to still be in the Roanoke Rapids area.
