Carolina Lookouts finish second in showcase

Nashville based High School division travel softball team, Carolina Lookouts traveled to Elizabeth City over the weekend in the "NCNSA NC/VA Regional Border Wars Tournament" Showcase. Four Roanoke Rapids High softball Sophomores players, Hunter Martin, Brooke McClenny, Jordan Carpenter and Sierra Hearp and twelve year old Chaloner Middle player Abbi Carpenter all from Roanoke Rapids were team members.


The team played six games total pool and single elimination bracket games. They were undefeated until the championship game facing Virginia Galaxy (who they had beat earlier in pool play). The Lookouts lost and finished the tournament second with a 5-1 record.

Also Roanoke Rapids residents Bobby Martin and Mike Hearp are coaches of the Carolina Lookouts.
