The matter was reported on September 27.
The Gregory Farm Road community, which is on the same road that leads to the airport, has reported spotlighting to the state Wildlife Resources Commission, Dickens said. “It's a small community. They've never had any issues before.”
Dickens said the distance from which the horse was believed to be shot was close enough the shooter had time to aim and “knew what they were doing.”
The range, he said, was close enough the shooter could have distinguished whether it was a deer or horse they were aiming at.
