Around 11:45 a.m., Officer Patrick Smith responded to a larceny call at Walmart.
Loss prevention told Smith Taquashe Samone Harris, 19, of Garland, took items from the store without paying for them.
Smith arrested and charged Harris with larceny and possession of stolen goods.
She received a $100 bond and an August 25 court date.
August 11
Around 5:15 p.m., Smith responded to a larceny call at Lowe's Home Improvement.
Loss prevention told Smith William Tecsumpsah Hamlin, 66, of Roanoke Rapids, took items from the store without paying for them.
Smith arrested and charged Hamlin with larceny and possession of stolen goods.
Hamlin received a $2,000 bond and a September 25 court date.
August 12
Around 4:20 p.m., Lieutenant Charles Burnette responded to a larceny call at Walmart.
Loss prevention told Burnette Ashley Brooke Johnson, 19, of Roanoke Rapids, took items from the store without paying for them.
Burnette arrested and charged Johnson with larceny.
She received a $500 bond and a September 11 court date.
Around 5:30 p.m., Sergeant Richie White responded to a breaking and entering in progress in the 900 block of Cedar Street.
White discovered the call was a family dispute over property, not a breaking and entering.
White arrested and charged Melinda Sanderson Walker with misuse of the 911 system.
Walker received a $1,000 bond and October 23 court date.

Around 2:30 p.m., Smith responded to a larceny call in the 200 block of Summit Avenue.
The victim was approached by two people who asked to use a cell phone.
When the victim gave them the cell phone, they fled with the device. Smith was unable to locate them.
Around 8:20 p.m., the victim spotted them at Walgreens.
Lieutenant Jeff Baggett and Sergeant Mike Moseley responded.
Devon Mayo, 20, of Roanoke Rapids, was found in possession of the victim’s cell phone as well as marijuana.
Baggett arrested and charged Mayo with larceny, possession of stolen goods, possession of marijuana, damage to property and served him with two outstanding warrants.
Mayo received a $ 2,000 bond and a September 4 court date.
Officer Adam Salmon assisted.
Around 6:30 p.m., Smith responded to Ruby Tuesday on a fraud call.
The manager told Smith they were notified by corporate loss prevention customers had their credit cards overcharged.
Smith determined restaurant employee Derrick Lashaun Vincent, 19, of Roanoke Rapids, altered the amounts on the guest receipts.
Smith arrested and charged Vincent with three counts of embezzlement.
Vincent was given a $2,000 bond and a September 9 court date.
